Random Reports 1, 2 and 3

Random Reports is a series of poems by Barbara Henry derived from vocabulary lists chosen by chance and choice from the first section of The New York Times. Letterpress printed by the author.

3 sets of Random Reports 1, 2, and 3 were collated and bound as flat-back books with hand-dyed alum goatskin and low-relief woodcarving printed as graffiti rubbings.  6 x 10″. Binding concluded in 2015 (books printed in 2006, 2007 and 2008.) The price (slipcase included) is $850.

Boxes with Respect

Boxes with Respect by Kimiko Hahn, designed and produced in collaboration with Brigid Ewald on the occasion of The Center for Book Arts 2011 chapbook competition, to which the author was a judge. Letterpress printed from hand-set type with illustrations from photopolymer plates and hand-embroidered details, bound with Wunderkabinet features as a paper case. Edition of 100, the price is $250.


Caxixis-New York:
Mixed media, unique, 12 x 9, 2003.

The photographic images in Caxixis-New York contrast street fairs in Brazil with those in New York City. This is Cordeiro’s first artist book, made in 2003 for her 2004 solo photography show of the same name at Galeria Pierre Verger in her home state of Bahia, Brazil. Includes linen-covered box with ephemera material dated from the time of the exhibition, in Portuguese. The price is $4,000.


In the early 1990’s, Haitian and Cuban refugees were detained in Guantánamo Bay, Cuba under the supervision of the American military. A Book of Questions, is comprised of queries directed toward three groups of people (Haitian detainees, Cuban detainees and GTMO employees, including soldiers, physicians and social workers) whose paths intersected during a specific moment in GTMO’s history.

Letterpress printed artist’s book using polymer plates. Custom-made slipcase. Created, printed and hand-bound by Aurora De Armendi, 2014-15. Edition of 10 books, 7 1/4″ x 11 7/16″. The price is $850.
